The distillery's operators claim it was founded as early as 1798. Located in the small town of Kirkwall in the Orkney Islands, Highland Park produces a spicy, smoky single malt and is one of the few distilleries in Scotland to use its own malts. The bottlings bear nicknames reminiscent of the Vikings. Highland Park 12 Year Old matured the entire time in
