It was hailed as a brave collision of agit pop, indie and dance rock that was driven by funky rhythms and post punk attitudes. Two singles 'Hello? Is This Thing On?' and 'Pardon My Freedom' both performed well and it was said at the time that "the album brings some real substance to dance music" (just don't let any dance music fans hear that, though.)
