Ried Weinberg is home to the family's oldest vines, planted on deep, humus rich, iron rich clay loam at a mid slope position that brings better airflow, drainage, and sun. Where Ratschen is gravelly and firm, Weinberg is denser and plusher, its tannins fuller and more velvety we reach for "blue Pomerol" to describe it. The iron slate character of Eisenberg runs right
